Sadly, there’s a lot of that going around; I haven’t spoken to or had any communication with my brother for three years. Which is okay with me; after (literally) sixty years of his carp, I’m done.
He’s an unperson to me; I quite honestly don’t give a flying fark about him anymore.
Fatwa — I’m honestly surprised that more people haven’t returned Antifa’s violence with even more violence.
Me, too; apparently all of us “dangerous, violent gun nuts” are complete and utter slackers. 👿
Funny how there are wide swaths of this country where Antifa has generally been so quiet; I wonder why that might be…
Our dinner the other night, Fatwa, didn’t go far south -- it just didn’t produce anything substantial. It’s like when I used to argue in bars over the Raiders vs. anybody else. At some bars, with some people, you snark and insult back and forth and then swap buying rounds of beer. At other times, the snark and insults cross a line, and you’re drunk, and those end up in fights.
America feels like a bar where everyone is one beer short of flying off the handle.
On the other hand, my friend’s husband and I have been swapping some emails back and forth over whether Fauci lied about wearing masks. Unexpected, but interesting.
…didn’t go far south — it just didn’t produce anything substantial.
In our current political climate, that’s a WIN of a sort, I suppose.

Not that any of us need one, but here’s a YT rabbit hole of old hand tools being restored. (Some machining involved in this one, which made me think our steadfast MegaThreadLad might find it of of interest.)
Machining is one of those things I find to be “applied magic”; I really don’t know how folks can do such things.

The best is when old leftist friends who have an 80 IQ at best and are aging out of anyone paying attn to them, write me “omg yr so funny I hate DJT and your politics and everything you do but I still [heart emoji’ you”. Like that’s something I give a fuck about.
And they can’t believe it / are like shocked and hurt when I say “you know I also actually hate everything about you as well especially your unbelievably trite and uneducated political views and everything you’re interested in is retarded boring and juvenile, but yes you as a “person”, I “still” “accept” you too [queen emoji].
Like I’m supposed to be grateful the dumbest most boring people I ever knew in LA still follow me. Leftist think they’re the only ones who “hate” the opposition. Always ensure they know that you do too. Has a right wing person ever reached out to an

As the older, I was nearly always expected to make concessions because of my being “his big brother”. (Even after I moved back to OH in ’04 and us being in our forties.)
Now, with both parents deceased and us being in our friggin’ 60s, I don’t think the age difference is sufficient to warrant that dynamic still being in play.
He’s just an old asshole who grew-up in the same house as I did.

Well. I got up this morning and decided to go into work and get ready to correct some route sheets. I wasn’t there for long. I just wanted to make sure I was editing the correct files. I can do all that during my downtime at night while waiting for papers. I’ll probably do some of that tonight. We’ll see how it goes.
It’s annoying how out of order the route sheets are. I want to redo them and leave some spaces for write-in stuff I may add from time to time. It would also make it easier for anyone else who might have to do the route after I leave, or if I am sick, etc.
