Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

It’s Quill Pen Kitteh Friday…teh yay!

dv8 --

Glad to read the positive news about your coworker.

Paddy --

Hope Day 2 of your conference was good and that today will be, too.

Jooooos — is there nothing they can’t do?

Um…be left the fark alone? 👿

Odd that, despite being one of the smaller groups on the planet (there are apparently fewer of us today than in 1938), we don’t seem to qualify as a “minority”.

(I’m not generally prone to “gun envy”, but Best Man has a legal Israeli bottom Uzi; the fire select switch is in Hebrew. It came with a .22 adapter, so he can actually afford to light it off every once in a while.)

*Sigh*

Hi, Fatwa -- happy Friday, GN.

Reading the news this morning, I think it’s time all prop guns were banned.

Hai, Sven!

We clearly need more draconian Alec Baldwin control.

I’ll be curious to find out just how such a horrible chain of events occurred on a movie set.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!

Hmm, I wonder what happened to cause that?

We clearly need more draconian Alec Baldwin control.

Yep! Until studios can demonstrate proper firearms safety, we need to halt the use of all firearms, including prop ones, from filmmaking. Given that edged weapons result in more deaths than rifles, we need to ban those, too. No CGI weapons, either, because people won’t be able to tell those from the real ones. If it saves just one life, it will be worth it.

Proper protocol should call for the complete absence of any cartridges, other than blanks, on a film set. There is absolutely no reason for live ammunition.

Was there a national disaster and I missed it? Whatever happened to the doom and gloom predicted when the eviction moratorium ended?

Good night, folks, sleep well.
