Good morning, Paddy -- too soon to tell, but I don’t think they will. I don’t know how this program will work or many project details, but they’ve hired an entire department dedicated to responding to employee calls and coordinating the response to the mandate. Even though it’s on hold, I think they’ll still scramble to have it ready by EOY.
The details will be interesting. Will they allow weekly testing as an option to being vaccinated and if they do, who pays for that? For retail employees, will they pay for them to take time off during working hours or not? Are remote employees really exempt from the mandate?
The bigger question, given the investment, is if the mandate is declared illegal and dumped, will they implement our program anyhow? I’m guessing that they’ve weighed the risks of labor shortages vs. “a safe workplace” but no idea their conclusions.
What they won’t do, like most all large corporations, is do nothing.
No verdict yet in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial, but other fireworks with MSNBC being banned from the courtroom for following the jurors as they left court yesterday. I’m sure their motives were pure as driven snow. There’s a bigger story out there regarding an assailant that has only been identified in court as “jump kick man” as the state claims they never identified or interviewed him. He has now been identified and according to some news accounts, claims to have been interviewed by the state during trial preparation. If this is true, then it raises the level of prosecutorial misconduct to whole other level.
Where does the time go. My golly! The Thursday thread is up again.
Drive-by:
G’day, GN!
Hi, dv8 (and Harper!!1!)
Thursday means it’s Walmart Day for me; wooo!
Don’t have time at present to respond to stuff in yesterday’s thread; hope to BBL.
Haven’t seen Mr. Speedee on a McDonalds cup for a loooong time.
Good morning Dv8 and Fatwa -- good day, GN!
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), Fatwa, and Sven!
Cat’s as fast-food workers? Can’t be any worse than some of the people I’ve encountered at those establishments.
Sven -- now that OSHA has suspended the vaccine mandate, will Teh Bestest Place Ever slow down their tracking efforts?

No fair referencing McDonalds when ours is closed for remodeling.
