Mac’s thread pic is a pretty darned good example of how to deal with so much of what’s going on in America: mockery. As Alinsky pointed out: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
It truly is. He also wrote “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”
Gleefully celebrating that the Emperor is, indeed, sans pantaloons is fun. Sure, it’s potentially dangerous, but so is playing with stuff that burns and or explodes. (Something none of us have ever done, I’m sure.)
Yeah, this requires taking a calculated risk. You can “do the math” and make a decision. Hopefully, at least in some instances, this will cause you to -- in the words of the unwitting inspiration for this site’s predecessor(s) -- “DO IT NOW!!” 😉
I have to wonder how much the last couple of decades of CRT and hate whitey have to do with this tragedy.
IMHO, quite a lot. The people who promulgate that carp are largely insulated from its results; perhaps that needs to change. 👿
Just read that the Central Council of Jews (who knew there was even such a thing?) in Germany is trying to combat anti-semitism with a “Meet A Jew” program:
As Alinsky pointed out: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”
Which is why the left hates the “Let’s go Brandon” chants.
I haven’t followed the Ahmaud Arbery case in Georgia at all, but have heard the media narrative of three white men in Georgia hunting down and killing a black jogger. I was surprised to read over at Legal Insurrection that the state’s case, legally, isn’t all that sound. Closing arguments going on now -- don’t if the jury will get the case this week with the holidays and all.
Santa Ana winds again on Wednesday and Thanksgiving with the power company threatening shutoffs again -- they did the same thing last year shutting off electricity on Thanksgiving and the Friday after.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, dv8 (and Harper!), Sven, and Mac!
That’s all I got. Trying to get moar work done correcting other people’s errors and giving people step-by-step, explicit directions to fix things that they should have done right the first time.
I read an article in my local paper about how schools need to stop teaching an inaccurate story of Thanksgiving and better reflect the truth. It then went on a long rant about relations between settlers, the U.S. government, and Native Americans. As usual, the author didn’t list any specific problems with the traditional Thanksgiving story, just that there were some. Maybe the problem lies with poor teaching in California, rather than the story itself? I learned that the Wampanoag helped the Pilgrims and that without that help the colony wouldn’t have survived. Are they teaching kids something different now? Or are people just using Thanksgiving as another opportunity to defecate on America and any excuse will do?
G’day, Wheelizens!

I couldn’t agree more.
Just read that the Central Council of Jews (who knew there was even such a thing?) in Germany is trying to combat anti-semitism with a “Meet A Jew” program:
https://www.deutschland.de/en/topic/life/meet-a-jew-germany-dismantling-anti-semitism
(Scene: Meeting room with neat rows of folding chairs and a large coffee urn. Most of the seats are taken.)
(Man stands up and addresses those who are seated.)
Man: Mein Name ist Shlomo und ich bin Jude.
Seated people (in unison): Hallo, Schlomo!
*Facepalm*
Oy…my people.
I admit it. I LOL’d.
Wow! almost 12 hours last night. All the routes prepared. and two mail runs.
The Big Route is tomorrow though, it should not take too much time. In some ways, this is easier. I kinda wish it was like this all the time.
Hi Fatwa and Dv8 --

But what is electricity compared to that wonderful bullet train? And no nasty plastic straws!!
I understand why you are sometimes referred to as that “glass half full” kind of guy, Mac.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
