Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

I don’t think that cat is going to be happy when it’s watering time, just saying.

That’s a weird looking cattail in teh thread pic, Mac.

Hai, Sven and Paddy!

Earlier today, I set-up a new GMail account just for dealing with The Shyster Group (as suggested by LambiePieK) and sent JimCo’s response.

The new email addy is SodOffShysterGroup@. 👿

Just saying hi. I feel completely tapped out, you guys.

I read all your replies for the last several days.

I’m glad some fun was had.

I know I have some kind of status to relate, but I can’t think of anything relevant right now.

Chronologically speaking: Big Route was last night. The whole of the night went fairly smoothly. We went to and/or back to sleep promptly afterward. I was awakened (from a very deep sleep) by a phone call and subsequent delivery which I had to attend to just a bit ago.

So… I’m saying hi and catching up on a few things while I’m awake.

Have you ever watched the movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead ? Harper’s Shakespeare rant made me think of it. it’s clever take on Hamlet from the minor character perspective.

yes, I love it!

Also long ago, when I worked at a Blockbuster store, I used to file it right next to Hamlet, it got rented out much more often when I did that.

The clip was the coin flipping scene where it keeps coming up heads. A most amusing and surprisingly well made movie.

I love that scene.

Yeah, youtube gives me the “I’m not a robot” endless loop when I’m on TOR, depending on my node configuration. If the final link in the TOR chain is in the USA, then most things work on TOR, otherwise, it’s a tossup as to what will work and what won’t.

of course, I can’t see your youtube link on TOR, but I can paste into Brave. I’m guessing it’s a clip?

Since they’ve yet to formally identify the latest school shooter in Detroit, I’m assuming it’s a non-white person.

Today’s delivery was some groceries. I had to wake up from a very very deep sleep and put them all away.

There was a turkey roast, and some stuff I needed to put in the fridge along with some canned goods and other stuff.

I really ought to make some potato soup or something.

I don’t feel like cooking though. There’s some mac and cheese in with some added meat in the fridge.

Boy have I been craving egg yolk lately:

A few days ago, I made Hollendaise and poured it all over some sundry breakfasty stuff I made.

A few days later, I made a meat pie and doused it in warmed up egg yolk. Good thing I got a couple doz eggs today as well.

Flipping through the cable news in between meetings, there was a story about the number of homicides in Chicago hitting it’s highest number since 1994. The war on drugs was blamed as a contributing factor and the obligatory call for legalizing all drugs was made. I understand the arguments in favor of that and more or less support that idea, but there’s maybe 20,000 gangs in America with close to a million gang members -- for most of them their primary criminal activity, their source of income, comes from drugs. If all drugs were legalized, what illegal activities would those gangs turn to?

When Prohibition was repealed, what did those gangs branch out to?
