Congratters on your Kimber 1911. SiL had one -- with a 5″ barrel -- for a while and I quite enjoyed the couple of times I got to shoot it.

Looking forward to JimCo “Leak Week”…not.
I’ll be curious to learn the causes on the roofs we installed; we’re not perfect, but leaks on our roofs are usually due to someone else’s actions damaging our work. Especially on flat roofs, which is the case with the three in question.
Happy Day Two of Float Decorating Week, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Harper!, Fatwa, and Sven!
It was good to get back to our “float family” and decorating. It’s odd having only 6 floats in the building, instead of the usual 12. The size of the volunteer crews was also reduced. The floats are smaller this year and less elaborate -- sponsors aren’t going to spend the money if there’s any chance the parade will be canceled. We’ll go up again this afternoon for the afternoon/evening shift, then switch things up on Tuesday and go for a morning/afternoon shift.
Sven -- congrats on the Kimber! I’m sure you’re going to love it. I’d love to hear more about the process you have to go through to pick it up, as well as any of the other test questions you happen to remember. I used to have a bog-standard Springfield 1911 before the great canoeing accident, along with a Star PD compact .45 with an alloy frame. As Mac said, it’s snappy.
Good morning, GN!!
That is all.
((((poof))))
Monday after a holiday…buh.
Harper!!1! 😉

Hello, Miss Harper, and Fatwa -- happy Monday.
Cold outside, but no rain as of yet -- supposed to start late afternoon again.
