Day two of float decorating went well, but with smaller work crews, we’re already behind schedule. It will be interesting to see how the week plays out. There are only three more decorating days before judging.
We’re having dinner with the extended family tonight so Teh Younger can spend a little more time with them before he flies out tomorrow morning. That means we’re working the day shift. After getting to bed at midnight, I’m a little short on sleep, as I will be tomorrow when I have to get up early to take Teh Younger to the airport. I’m getting a little too old for this schedule.
And thanks to whomever (Mr. WADministrator?) got us back and spinning; cheers for the email re same Mac.
Got a JimCo vehicle problem which is monkey-wrenching today’s schedule. We still ought to be able to take care of leaks by the end of today, but I’ve gotta make phone calls advising homeowners of our “revised schedule”.
The Trump tax cuts hit us because of the cap on state and local taxes, but his logic was correct in doing that and I had no complaint about paying more in fed taxes. The major problem with BBB, besides its really stupid name, is the problem that all legislation seems to have: they put too much in a bill. The other problem is that it’s a Dem bill; you don’t even have to read it to know it’s full BS.
This afternoon, I went into work early to do a bit of stocking up and decided to get all my inside, pre paper arriving work done while I was there. So Now I’m just waiting for the papers to be almost here, and then I’ll go back in and do everything else, including The Big Route.
I kinda feel lazy hanging out here at home, but the papers are about an hour late, so I think it’ll make the day feel shorter, and make the day/night go quicker.
Did I mention that Go Pro’s webcam software is out of beta. It works much better, but still is a bit underwhelming. They should be taking a page from logitech and building a lot of software processing into the software, As it is, the camera still can’t use a lot of its advanced features while being used as a webcam.
If it were my company, I’d probably look into partnering with Logitech for webcam functionality. But wtf do I know : )
Also I did a stream yesterday. It was a short one because I had to go to work later in the evening, but, ya know… baby steps.

Hello, Paddy -- looks like no rain for parade day.
There hardly ever is. We will once again, however, have snow on the mountains and glorious sunshine for the parade. Perfect TV imagery.

I agree completely.
States have gotten a free pass from the feds to tax as much as they wanted until the Trump tax plan.
People in high tax states, like OR, CA, etc, paid a bit more in taxes. But yeah, that is the right policy in my opinion also.
States should not be able to over tax people and then say, hey, you can just take it off your fed taxes.
