I’m sure those in charge expect much applause and blowjxxx from a grateful county for this action. I’m surprised they didn’t send out free knee pads to every resident.
Ventura, CA – Ventura County Public Health announced today that the local Health Officer Order requiring masking in all indoor public places will be lifted Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in alignment with State’s masking policy. “
Although reading further, schools and a host of other places still require masks regardless of vaccination status, and the unclean are supposed to stay masked everywhere they go.
Oh noes…Sven’s onto me! (As much fun as it is to control the weather -- up yours, Pasadena! -- the space laser is even cooler.)
Actually, I managed to finally get caught-up on JimCo admin / paperwork yesterday and have been doing research for our upcoming lawbaw conference call so I can ask intelligent questions and keep the billable time to a minimum.
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
I can tell by yesterday’s weather that Fatwa is a bit distracted by both his new laser and JimCo business. We had thunder, lightning, and good-sized hail yesterday evening.
I must be channeling my inner Fatwa this morning cuz I’m not impressed with her at at all. Why? Because she’s missing the point. The hill she chose to die on was her opposition to several covid restrictions -- something that most on the right agreed with. But there’s also this from the article:
Meantime, colleagues posted nonstop about the need to oust Trump in the November election. I also shared my support for Elizabeth Warren in the Democratic primary and my great sadness about the racially instigated murders of Ahmaud Arbery and George Floyd. No one at the company objected to any of that.
Then, in October 2020, when it was clear public schools were not going to open that fall, I proposed to the company leadership that we weigh in on the topic of school closures in our city, San Francisco. We often take a stand on political issues that impact our employees; we’ve spoken out on gay rights, voting rights, gun safety, and more.
I stopped buy Levi’s several years ago because of their anti2A efforts and statements. And as far as BLM goes, there’s no evidence at all and never was that Floyd’s death had anything to do with racism.
Sey resigned because the company pushed back on her for her comments on covid restrictions. I’m positive she would have been happy to fire anyone that spoke out against BLM or made statements supporting the NRA while she was a department president. What she won’t do is reexamine her positions on other social issues that Levi’s supports; what she won’t do is examine the larger questions of corporate intolerance to any dissenting views or even if corporations ought to be in the business of publicly supporting one view over another.
What she won’t come to terms with is that most everything the MSM sells or corporations kowtow to is a lie.
Got my mid-year review in a few minutes -- I’m not sure what hat I’ll wear: 1) Professional/Employee concerned about all things related to teh bestest place ever and offering up solutions or 2) Contractor tell me what to do and all I care about is a paycheck.
“Conservative Party members can stand with people who wave swastikas, they can stand with people who wave the confederate flag. We will choose to stand with Canadians who deserve to be able to get to their jobs, to be able to get their lives back. These illegal protests need to stop, and they will,” he said.
Lantsman called Trudeau’s comments “unbecoming.”
After Question Period, Lantsman would tweet: “I think the Prime Minister should think long and hard about his own history before singling out a Jewish Member of Parliament and falsely accusing me of standing with a Swastika. What a disgraceful statement unbecoming of anyone in public office -- he owes me an apology.”
The regulation’s definition of a “designated person” also includes people who “provide property to facilitate or participate in any assembly.” In other words, under these regulations, anyone sending funds to support these protests could be facing a shaky financial future.
Even when caught red-handed in lies and hypocrisy, they double-down, confident that their lies and perfidy will never be exposed to the population at large.
Well I’m first which can mean only one thing and it likely involves lasers and Joooooooos.

G’day, GN!

Many on the right have been applauding Jennifer Sey’s resignation from Levi Strauss.

Good morning Fatwa and Paddy! I’m glad that I’m not alone here!
Welcome to the Dark Side…we have cookies. (Also vehemence, indignation and umbrage, because we’re not “one size fits all”.)
Also: Hey, Paddy!

My go to game for downtime has been video poker on Roku. I was surprised this morning to see a fellow gerbil on there!
This is a five minute tournament game.
Wow, you’re losing to Jerry!
But I’m ahead of Bullwinkle.
True.
Funny stuff in Canada.

I saw a video clip of that exchange. What a sanctimonious, hypocritical prick.
Yes, this will work out well.

In a nutshell, the one story that shows how wrong the media, academics, and leftist politicians are. And that they truly do hate us. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2022/02/16/black-lives-matter-further-debases-itself-in-kentucky-n523283
