Sven, Thank you for the guidance on The Mentalist. I did record and watch that episode, I tend to like origin stories.(I caught Firefly all backward, watching the movie first, then the series. I did like the origin story there as well, though I knew the characters by then.)
I recorded and looked at the next four episodes, not sure at this point. I think I might try starting at the beginning and see if it catches me. I like the actor, and the character is interesting, but the Perry Mason aspect bothers me. Guess I will see. In any case, thank you.
Sometimes starting in the middle is best for me. One of the few series I got hooked on was Forever Knight. When I saw it in TV Guide I thought it sounded stupid so I ignored it. I happened to catch the first episode of the second year and I was hooked. I ended up buying the whole series on DVD after following the second and third season to the end. If I had started with the first season I don’t think I would have watched more than a couple. I do that with books at times, if I can’t get into it I may start in the middle. I have often gotten engaged that way and ended up reading the whole book.I have had that happen with movies too. I stopped watching some that I ended up really liking later when I tried them again after catching the middle.
If you wanted to jump around a bit, try Season 4 -- the last episode, The Crimson Hat. Then jump to Season 5 -- Episode 8: Red Sails in the Sunset, followed by Season 5 -- Episode 16: There Will be Blood. It’s a story arc involving a new character, Lorelei, that you might find interesting.
It is about a vampire who becomes a police detective in Canada. The three seasons are each different. The series does wrap and the ending is quite different. There were just interesting characters and stories that caught me.
Good morning, and good night.
Hope everyone does well today in their things that they do.
I need some sleep now,
Goodnight.
I wonder if that cat’s claws are in or out?
Good night, Dv8 -- rest well.
Happy Monday, GN -- what fresh hell awaits us today?
Watching SOTUSBlog -- nothing of major import released so far unless it’s down in the weeds of life.
Happy Cover-up Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), and Sven!
Good night, dv8. Rest well.
Sven -- I wonder if they (SCOTUS) will wait until later in the day to minimize rioting?
HI, Paddy -- looks like maybe Wednesday.
Of course we should be more like Canada…
No thanks.
what a fuk hed.
“Stocks tumble” is a popular headline today. Thanks, Brandon!

I’ll have to take a look at Forever Knight.
I did the same thing with Firefly.

I don’t know why that showed as Anonymous.
