Our power went out about 16:30 and wasn’t restored until about 22:30; alleged cause was a transformer across the street. Since it was 97ºF (108º “heat index”) yesterday, that sorta sucked.
OTOH, we learned our old fridge is pretty well insulated.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Fatwa!
Fatwa -- glad BrendaK’s day was “okay”, as that sure beats “not good”. That sucks about your power outage. We’ve got a small generator we can run to keep the fridge working, along with a few lights, but it won’t power the AC.
I’ve got a meeting with my boss and her boss this afternoon to discuss next year. I have no idea what the plan is because they’ve brushed off my attempts to discuss things earlier. I also don’t know why my boss is including her boss in the meeting, except that they are like two peas in a pod.
Had to run out for a few things. Drove past the park down the hill on the way back. It’s 89 degrees out, full sun, and there’s a group of young teens playing basketball…and all of them are wearing masks.
You’re probably right about learning it in school, cuz if it was only their parents, then they’d take them off as good, rebellious teens are supposed to do.
Good afternoon. Once again looking forward to work. Not planning to mess with the big mail machine. Doing the labels by hand is very relaxing and a lot faster.
Been watching the TimCastIRL show on youtube while doing the labels. It’s a 2 hour show, so it’s about perfect for that. I pretty much get to watch the whole thing.
BTW, if you’ve never watched the show live, or a replay, just look it up on youtube at TimcastIRL.
I started watching him during the Rittenhouse or Chauvin trials -- forget which one. What do you think of his guy with the long hair and the glasses? I forget his name, but he seems kind of a goof with little of importance to add to any conversation.
Ian Crossland? I have the same reaction to him, although he is interesting in some ways. Michael Malice points out that his random comments tend to get things going. So I’ve warmed to him. And he does seem like a nice guy.
Still on TOR, and my Protein Noodles have not yet arrived from Amazon. I’m going to try some manufactured noodles, even though mine are better. They are still rather labor intensive. I believe we bought these forthcoming noodles from costco before, so I’m ordering them from Amazon they are supposed to be here tonight, I guess.
No big news on the Entrepreneurship track or the Corporate Job track, I’m afraid. all of my several projects are delayed due to fatigue. All though… that appears to be lifting. I guess I get this every year when the seasons change. I’m starting to come out of it, and maybe the lighter work load has helped.
Good for teh cow!
“Freedommmooooooo…!”

Wonder why my prevous comment was from “Anonymous”…and this one’s not.
Sheesh. It’s almost like you are living out here.
Good morning, Fatwa -- “Okay” is Okay -- prayers for a better day today.
We certainly made references to CA…including that -- if it had happened out there -- the dry heat would have been somewhat easier to take.
Much obliged for the prayers.
Wonder what JimCo fun’s waiting in my inbox today…

How’d the meeting go?
This sounds ist or an ism, but can’t figure out the slant on it. Must think on this…
Huh. The DOW has dropped below 30,000. Thanks, Brandon!

It appears they learned at least one thing in school. Too bad they didn’t learn the truth.

They have great guests and great discussions.
They have a launch point at TimCast.com also, It links to all the Tim-related stuff.

A bird in the hand and all that as far as jobs go -- I have the feeling things are going to get a lot worse in America before they get better.
