Grace and peace to you all, Gerbil Nation.
Good morning, Sven.
We’ve completed two days of decorating on the float -- mostly on pieces that will be added to the float later. The result is that it doesn’t look like much has been done, so far. It should look good, though, when all is completed.
Teh Younger’s flight on Southwest was canceled yesterday, so he had to find another flight back. Instead of getting back to his apartment at 11 tonight, he’ll arrive about 7 tomorrow morning, change clothes, then head in to work. Last minute flights are also more expensive. Thanks, Southwest.
Hi, Paddy -- it looks like Southwest screwed the pooch. Sorry your boy got caught up in it.
Mrs Sven is sick now -- I’m feeling much better, but not quite 100%.
Another visit by our resident bobcat this morning. I mentioned that the hawks have figured out the bird buffet in front of my window caused by me feeding them -- now the bobcat has as well. He went after a squirrel that must have made it into the honeysuckle hedge by the road. So a flurry of activity, then the bobcat walking around, then a leap on his part into the honeysuckle. Pretty amazing. From the ground, and through a gap in the hedge, he easily leaped 5 feet up and into the hedge itself. When he landed, the hedge barely moved. Stayed up there not moving, then climbed down. Circled and tried again in a different location. Repeated two more times. A bicycle rider came by and he hunkered down under my truck, waited for the guy to pass, then came back out. Circled the area and then took off south up the hills. All told, he must have been there five minutes.
I got nuthin’.
