Harper is worried about me. She’s afraid I went back to work to soon. All this sleeping has got me a bit confused, Last night at work things went okay, but it was my short night.
Tonight is the Route. I’ll make sure to have all the warm clothes I need.
Last night I left some recycling for someone else to do in the morning. If it’s not all done, I can do it in the morning, I guess. I’m not too worried.
It is a solemn day, no getting around that. I’m confident that Brenda will be surrounded by family and friends and that they will help her get through this. Given Fatwa’s nature, I’m sure there will be much laughter mixed in with the tears.
He was a good man and friend that was outraged by all the right things and that spoke his mind. He was loyal and he was honest. And he will be sorely missed -- our world is lessened by his absence.
Very well said, Sven. For me, spending time remembering -- telling stories and shared experiences -- is the best anodyne for a grieving heart. The laughter and the tears are healing.
Fatwa had an outrageous sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to poke the bear. We should all be more like him.
Buckets and buckets of rain anticipated through this coming week. STORM WATCH in SoCal, although NoCal seems to be getting hit worse. I expect a few mudslides and such, and messy roads, but not much else.
Good morning -- glad you got some rest, Dv8, and are back on your feet.
Reflective Tuesday greetings, Gerbil Nation.
Good morning, Sven.
dv8 -- I’m glad you’re feeling better. I hope the Big Route goes well tonight.
Today is Fatwa’s memorial service -- I really wish I could be there. I hope the service provides comfort for Brenda.
Same here, I wish I was currently in the travelling income bracket. I feel nothing but shame.
There’s no need to feel shame, dv8.
Agreed, Dv8.

If Harper is worried, then take that to heart and be extra careful today/tonight.

Blues for a blue day.
