My back has been giving me trouble -- today is the first day I’ve eschewed pain meds in the the last month. I hadnt realized how muddled my brain has been.
I read your post from yesterday, Paddy. It’s a sad situation. Sadder because it should have been anticipated and planned for two years ago. I fear it’s something that this generation of school-age children will, for the most part, not recover from and placing kids in their age-grade ignoring the lost two years, isn’t going to help any.
Sven -- you’re absolutely right. Unfortunately, under both state and federal law, children have the right to be educated with their age-peers, no matter their actual level of performance. Students also have to be exposed to material that meets grade-level standards, even if they are incapable of understanding that material. Of course teachers are supposed to differentiate instruction so that the material is accessible to all students, but that only works in a limited set of cases.
I hope you are feeling okay without the pain meds.
They’re going to be good Democrat voters. Ignorant and incapable of critical thinking, just as they’re supposed to be.
Seriously, though. I often think of the old one-room schoolhouse, where students of every age and ability are taught and the teacher provides lessons that are appropriate for the abilities of each student, rather for each age/grade level. If a student should be in 5th grade, but can’t do 4th grade math, then teach them 4th grade math and 5th grade English. I guess that makes too much sense for the teachers’ unions.
I don’t know what he does, but he’s gone more than he’s here. He did come home with scratches in his head the other night, but that was the only damage.
Happy “At least it’s fresh” Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Interesting choice for a thread-pic, Mac. Of all the thread-pics you’ve ever posted, I certainly have to say that this is one of them.
It first caught my eye as selling cat meat, but it is selling meat for cats and dogs. Either way seems to bring our Sven to mind.
So, “Sven shopping for Jack Tatum” would be an apt caption, if tasteless.
Are you saying JT is insipid?
I’d say tough, not insipid.
I’m a baaaad boy.
Huh. Me and Jack Tatum thrown into the grinder, eh?
Both you and Jack have Grindr accounts? I never would have thought that. NTTAWWT.
I sure hope that llama isn’t judging Sven and Jack Tatum -- that would be wrong!

FFS. What kind of adults are they going to be? Worse than the usual crop is my bet.

The little angel.
A fine lad.
He has to rest up before tonight’s foray. I wonder if he is a legend with the local wildlife?

It would be interesting to put a small camera on him and track his nightly activities.
I made it through and managed to wake up before dark.
That’s always good.
Good on you, Dv8 -- hope you enjoyed it.
I was on TOR for a couple of weeks. Some time in there, I was able to use regular internet again for the wheel.
Don’t know how long it will last this time.
