Have to go to Flagstaff today for a doctor’s appointment. For a change it’s for me, not Harper. They’re gonna ear, nose, and throat me in some way.
It’s been hard to see any of my medical appointments as anything other than a waste of time and resources, but maybe they can help me breathe better.
I kinda doubt it, because, as I often say, but am not particularly fond of entertaining: Nobody knows how to do his job. I realize it’s not universal, but it is rather wide spread enough that I have little or no confidence in most professions. Particularly medicine, and more particularly, in the past 3 years.
Not trusting the medical profession is the right attitude. They are the starting point for resolving health issues, but unless you are lucky enough to have found and kept a doctor that you have grown to trust, then seeing one is mostly the first step in resolving the issue.
Another way to looking at it, Dv8, is that regardless of the outcome you are following through on a task you’ve set for yourself. Good luck.
and now, I can’t stay awake any longer. I only managed to sleep for a few hours before I had to go up north.
I did manage to cancel that Sams Club membership though. I didn’t cancel it completely. I just stopped the auto renew, just in case I end up going up there again before the end of the year.
I got one of those “explanation of benefits” letters from my health insurance provider. Five pages -- only one of which was the explanation of benefits. The other four were in different languages telling me that I had a right to get this information in my native language. I’m glad I read at least one of those languages, otherwise, how would I ever survive?

Evidently…
I don’t have any structural problems in there, nose wise.
Just allergies. Pretty minor. Kinda surprised, really.
Good luck with the trip and the appointment, dv8. As Sven said, you’re following through on a task.

There you go. It’s a start.
“baby steps”
That’s a good start, Mac, but “ideal” for me would have at least 7 more cats on my desk.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), and Sven!
I hope there’s a pupper curled up at the person’s feet in the thread pic.

I hope they got your pronouns correct, regardless of language.
Whenever I had a big corporate job, I usually threw the big packet of papers in the trash right outside of the training room on my first day.
I know… I know….
“Bad attitude.”
