Huh. I admit there were times when sitting next to a coon would have been better than sitting next to some women I’ve known.

Speaking of women, I’ve been talking with a friend whose wife has gone completely off the rails. Not like she’s become a bit nasty, but full on lunatic and dangerous. Apparently it’s been going on for most of this year, but he was trying to keep things quiet while trying to get her help. This isn’t going to end well and I hope she doesn’t drag him down with her, altho that seems unlikely.

Anyhow, happy Friday. SoCal is preparing for our tropical storm this weekend -- Paddy, I think you might get more of it than us.

Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!

Sven -- I hope things work out for your friend and that his wife is able to accept the help she needs.

Regarding the upcoming storm -- I read that the Coachella valley could get more rain from this storm than they normally get all year. I hope they are prepared, but they probably aren’t. I hope rainfall totals are reasonable at the Mountain Redoubt, Sven, and that you don’t have problems with runoff and debris flow.

Thanks, Paddy. it seems unlikely. I first heard about the ‘troubles” last month. Back then the latest was she’d been written up 5x at her job; she was buying a house in Alabama, she passed out on her way back from a casino and almost crashed; spending so much money at a local casino that they are comping her suites. Yesterday’s news was incoherent, but included that she’s filed for divorce and also in another incident the police were involved as she was banging a recently released convict in a parking lot.

Did I mention this woman is 60some years old?

Heard briefly form my friend -- he spent last night drinking heavily and got up after noon. Can’t say I blame him. What a mess -- I’ve told him to see an attorney, document everything, and separate out their money as quickly as he can. Oh yeah -- another excon has apparently stolen her identity.

And no,before you ask, he isn’t married to SWMNBN.

That’s good advice, Sven. He doesn’t need to be saddled with her debt, her new house, and have his savings siphoned off by some excon.

I got some good news on the lawsuit front. The attorney for the school district called my attorney to share what they had found out in the plaintiff’s school records. It seems she has a history of sexually harassing other students, falsely claiming she was sexually abused, and even claimed that she was raped by Hitler. The school district is going to file for sanctions against the plaintiff and we’re joining in. My attorney doesn’t hold out much hope for the judge to approve the sanctions, but we’ll see. I still have to go through deposition, but at least now we have some info with which to discredit the plaintiff.

Panic beginning to set in on the local news and such about the tropical storm/hurricane this weekend. I don’t know what’ real and accurate and what isn’t, but it’s at least a couple of hours of work around the place to prep.

we had a wild storm last night while I was out on The Big Route, and before.

Fortunately it was not constantly raining like last spring when I got so sick.

sometimes the rain was heavy and sometimes light. Sometimes it let up for 15 minutes or so.

I did the route first before the big mass mailing. Also did it sorta sideways. I’ve been doing that a lot lately. I do the stuff close by the office first and then go up the Canyon. Next I do the Village and finish up with the main body of the Route.

This Evening, when I got down from the Canyon, I checked behind the post office to see if there were any carts, but there weren’t. So that means I kinda have to wait for them to open around 5 or 5:30.

So, I finished up the Route except for a stop or two that has to be open at least on Friday when I go in, then did the mail. by then it was around 5:30 so I delivered that, did my last couple of Route stops and then gassed up the Route Car and went home.

That was maybe around 6 or 6:30 am Not sure.

I slept like a rock until around 4 pm.

I have been sleeping much better so I seem to handle the schedule pretty well.

I went to the grocery store after work, bought some more veggies for Ramen. was too tired to blanch them before bed, so I guess I’m going to do that now.
