A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
We’ve gotten some rain from Hillary, but are currently in a lull. The winds and strongest rain are expected around noon, then continuing into the evening. It’s odd that at the moment, the air is dead calm. Mrs. Paddy and I will both be skipping church this morning, although she’ll be working the comments on their live stream. Not knowing just how bad the winds and rain would be, we thought it best not to risk the roads and freeway.
Steady rainfall and the radar shows more of the same, all day. No breaks in sight, which is unusual. About 1/3 of an inch of rain, so far. If it continues to come down slow and steady, the risk of flash flooding will go down.
Happy Hilary Sunday, GN! Arrival is still several hours away for us; it will hit Paddy’s area probably late morning?

Not much going on here -- about .1 inches of rain and intermittent winds. Snooze.

Same here, Paddy. Good steady rain, very little wind. Warm, though.
According to what I read: All deaths resulting from Hurricane Hillary will be ruled as suicides.
I see what you did there.
*rimshot*
Be sure to tip the veal, and try your waitress.
ba dum, tssss….
I would expect them to be claimed for the new virus coming from Canada, unless they can blame them on Trump.
If not suicides, covid.
Made it to church today!
I’m always amazed when I manage it.
Although the New and Improved sleep has helped a lot.
Earthquake.
Weird. My phone went off with a warning 20-30 seconds before we felt the jolt.
I got the notice and based on the distance we should have felt something about 50 seconds later. We didn’t feel anything.
Have you felt any of the 10 aftershocks they’ve had?
No. Been quiet, but now the rain is really coming down. Figure the storm to be ongoing for the rest of Sunday -- how are you holding up, Paddy?
It’s been mostly zero winds and steady rain, so no problems. The wind just picked up to 20-25 mph.
5.0-6.0 preliminary magnitude and in Ojai north and west of us -- 35 miles. That’s a small town up there.
