Looks like I dodged the jury service bullet. Selfish, I know, but an unpaid six-week+ stint is just not something I want to handle right now especially when I get a new boss next Monday.
It was looking to be a rather horrific case involving child sexual assault and rape. Numerous charges that took the judge maybe 10 minutes to read out. I honestly answered in my questionnaire that I have family members/friends that had been assaulted in similar fashion, but refused to provide details saying it was a private matter. Based on that, I also answered that I didn’t know if I could be fair/objective.
AoSHQ has a post up with a recording of the Arizona GOP chair relaying a bribe offer to Kari Lake if she’ll pause her run for Senate for two years. The conversation is worth a listen.
