I went over to my MIL’s yesterday with the goals of replacing the pump in her fountain, putting an exterior electrical outlet where an old porch light had been, then putting up string lights on her patio cover. After many hours, only the pump replacement was completed. The pancake box where the old light was isn’t deep enough to hold an outlet and I can’t find round extension rings, but I picked up an adapter and a deep outdoor box that should work. Except now I need extra long screws for the outlet. Getting everything lined up was more trouble than it should have been because the installation is in a corner. Then it turns out that the threaded holes in the pancake box are slightly larger than the standard screws for an outlet or switch. Of course I couldn’t tell that until I’d get on side in, then start on the second, only to have the first come out again. Very frustrating. I’ll have to get some other screws, then go back again.

What a frustrating day. I do hate it when a project for someone else goes off the rails.
An ambitious project -- too bad it didn’t go as planned and you need to make a second trip.

So are we warning about a new ice age or the rising sea level flooding our cities this year. I lose tract.
I think they’ve decided to go with “all of the above”. They’ve long since abandoned reasonable thought.

I guess we should just ignore that whole “massive increase in Antarctic ice” situation.
I think that might be hate speech to bring that up.
But if you don’t bring it up, then isn’t silence violence?

That’s especially true today, the start of Pesach. Meanwhile, we must respect whatever adherents to the RoP do during Ramadan.
