I Imagine cats do sometimes have deep thoughts as depicted in the thread pic. Sometimes, but not often.

I love the leftist spin this morning. It’s either 1) Trump lied for 90 minutes and Brandon just had a bad night, or 2) We had no idea he was this impaired.

It’s hard not to believe that Brandon wasn’t advised by leftist operatives to take this debate so that he could spectacularly fail so that they could force him out.

I hope the Trump campaign is ready for a different opponent. They won a big battle last night, but the Japanese won at Pearl Harbor and look how that ended up for them.

The question is, who will be the replacement? Gavin Newsom has been positioning himself for just such a circumstance.

Some good news out of SCOTUS.

Today, the Supreme Court ruled to overrule the so-called Chevron deference in a 6-3 decision. The ruling is a HUGE victory for those who hate the power the massive bureaucratic state has amassed in recent decades.

This is huge. I hope a lot of regulations are challenged and found illegal.

And this:

In the case of a former Pennsylvania police officer who entered the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Fischer v. United States, the court holds that to prove a violation of the law, the government must show that the defendant impaired the availability or integrity for use in an official proceeding of records, documents, objects, or other things used in an official proceeding, or attempted to do so. The case is returned to the lower court to determine whether the indictment can still stand in light of this new and narrower interpretation.

I wonder how many J6 defendants can use this to change their sentence, or eliminate their conviction entirely?

The number I’ve seen is 350.

Wow! Let’s hope it happens soon. It won’t be justice, but it will be better than the situation they are currently in.

And this:

In City of Grants Pass v. Johnson, the court rules that “camping ban” laws restricting the homeless from sleeping on public property do not constitute “cruel and unusual punishment” and are therefore not prohibited by the Eighth Amendment.

Will California have the strength to use this decision to finally make a dent in the homeless encampments that have popped up everywhere?

No. Newsom et al will just say it’s an illegitimate decision from an illegitimate SCOTUS and therefore illegitimate.

Interesting -- Brandon is doing a rally in NC and he’s back to looking like a man that is competent. Still old and angry but he can read a teleprompter. I wonder how the comparison between last night and today will play with the media.

Interesting. There are some comments that offer possible explanations, but who knows how we should read this.
