Cats. With Jack Tatum, I make sure not to startle him when I pet him. Today he was sleeping in his cat tree and I walked up next to hm, talking beforehand so he knew I was coming, and then petted him. He hissed at me. Twice.
I got both lawns mowed and edged, hung up a bunch of pictures, went to Trader Joe’s, worked on cleaning out the shed, and answered a bunch of work emails and messages. I think I’ll take Monday off.
True, I’m going to be working on setting up my classes in the various curricula that I got access to mid-day on Friday, along with various other tasks related to giving as many students as possible access to their classes. The other science teacher and I already put together 7 days of work that students can do if they don’t have access to their specific courses.
I’m an asshole. Me and Mrs Sven went out to lunch today and on the street by the restaurant there was a group of Harris supporters selling Harris campaign crap. After lunch, Mrs Sevn wanted to ask them why they were voting for Harris. One guy was kind of a dick -- one woman was decent enough to engage in conversation, but it just got me madder and madder. I mouthed off and said some unkind things and then told Mrs Sven we had to go.
Sometimes I can look on and not be bothered -- other times like today I have a real hard time keeping my temper in check. I need to do better.
Unlike Harris supporters faced with people selling Trump campaign items, I sure you didn’t scream at them, tear down their banners, or trash their display.
Thread pic -- cautious is not a bad approach.
Good morning, friends, and happy weekend.
Happy Caturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
The words of wisdom on the thread pic are applicable to how to handle cats as well.

Next time I’ll poke him with a stick.

You earned it, but somehow I can’t see you taking it.

That sounds like a laborious day of chores, Paddy -- take Monday off.

No, but I was very rude and it’s not like I didn’t know what to expect. So it goes.
