Bad timing, being out of work and all. Had to drop almost $2k on my truck. Had to replace the steering rack and pinon. Still cheaper than buying a new or used vehicle. So it goes.
Had lunch yesterday with a friend from teh bestest place ever. He’s in the same boat I was in -- likely to lose his position for rocking the boat and getting on the wrong side of his management. So that goes as well.
No big weekend plans -- tidying things up and gathering paperwork.

Sven -- that’s a bummer about your truck. Hopefully you can get many more years of use out of it. Sorry about your friend. It’s amazing how companies can survive with such poor management.
Not much planned today, other than the weekly trip to Trader Joe’s and dealing with some family business issues.
I just read that in 2024 the CA legislature sent over 1200 bills to the Governor and Newsome signed over 1000 of them. I can’t think of 100 bills that California needs, let alone 1200. It would be far better if the legislature repealed 1200 laws. These people really are about controlling every aspect of our lives.
