The mornings have been delightfully cool and this week should be cool as well. I welcome the fall weather, although I’m not enamored of needing to wear shoes. Oh well, give and take.
Thread pic -- we’ve never had a real kitten -- makes me want one, but I’ll get over that.
For the last couple of years, I’ve put together a collection of humorous/interesting images that I leave on Mrs Sven’s laptop for her to find on Monday before she logs on to start work. Here’s the one for tomorrow.
I have had or cared for kittens many times, even a couple of litters. They are unbearably cute and impossible to resist, but they don’t have the character or depth that adult cats have that makes their affection, trust, and love so special. Dogs are wonderfully loyal and loving, but there is something different and special about a cat’s acceptance that just sets it apart. I have found the most love and satisfaction, and a closer bond, with adult cats.
Thank you, my favorite. He is purring loudly and drooling. He is gently touching my face with his paws, insanely happy. He loved affection. He was very friendly but definitely preferred me.
A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!

Good morning, Paddy -- happy Sunday, GN.

The two closest and most special relationships were with these two, very different but very special. My tomcat and my multi-toed calico.
The tomcat was a big guy, the calico very small and delicate.
That’s an almost unbearably cute photo, Mac.
