Teh Squeaky Wheel
Thread pic: You know there’s a cat inside that pail…good coon!
Going to see ZZ Top tonight. The first “real” rock concert I ever saw was June 19, 1975 at the Forum in LA with ZZ Top headlining and Aerosmith opening. Coincidentally, Mrs Sven was also at that show.
Happy “Good ‘Coon” Tuesday, Gerbil Nation! Good morning, Sven!
Sven -- ZZ Top and Aerosmith -- not a bad first concert! I wonder how far apart you and Mrs. Sven sat? Enjoy tonight!
Afterwards, we went to the Roxy to see The Tubes -- that was a wild show especially for a 16-year old kid.
A couple of my friends went to that show at the Roxy. I couldn’t afford the tickets.
My first Rock Concert was The Edgar Winter Group, also in the mid 70s. That was shortly after Ronnie Montrose was replaced by Rick Derringer.
I saw Edgar Winter once and then Montrose when Sammy Hagar was lead singer. Never saw Rick Derringer. They all went on to have decent careers.
yup. Later that year, I remember buying Rick’s solo album.
