Since SoCal Edison hasn’t been able to shut our power off yet this season for “fire weather” they’ve decided to turn it off today for “routine maintenance.”
No, no, citizen! They are not cutting your power one day a week, they are increasing power availability to six days a week. Enjoy that extra powered time!
I just paid my SoCal Edison bill and it contained a notice that they are planning on selling a number of small hydroelectric plants to local power districts. These sales will save SCE customers approximately $36 million. So what is Edison doing? They’re asking for a rate hike to pay for the costs associated with the sales. Unbelievable.
Had to run to the hardware store for some stuff. On a major street here, all four corners had a dozen people each waving Trump flags and signs -- lot of crowd honking in support. Nice to see.
I found some coyote scat in my backyard today. Other than rats and squirrels, there really isn’t anything to eat in my backyard, so I’m guessing it was going for the water in the fountain.
Happy Saturday, GN.

Power back on -- got away without having to run the generator, but if you come by for a sandwich, best not ask for mayo on it.
Be very careful when you open the fridge.
Happy Emu Saturday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
I’m not sure what you do with a crop of emus. At least with kiwis you get both fruit and shoe polish.

That’s good to see.
