Christmas lights. I need to go all out this year on decorations.
Today we are supposed to go to Mrs Sven’s old workplace and clear out her office -- After five years of emptiness, corporate has decided they need her space. Might not happen as she is a little under the weather, but we’ll see.
Reading the sanctuary state/city declarations of resistance to “mass” migrations, my thought is leave them alone and start in the red states. And every time some illegal alien robs/assaults/rapes/murders someone in those domains, put out a press release saying basically it’s their problem.
When I worked in places where the language was course I fell into the habit. Later, when I got back into management, I felt it was unprofessional. I was influenced by things I read from George Washington and John Paul Jones and decided they were right on this. Even in warehouses where there was not normally customers present, the office ladies sometimes had to come out to the warehouse, and I did not like such language around ladies (I guess that makes me bad these days but I don’t and didn’t care.). Some of the old hands did not like it but I insisted, and once people adjust it becomes comfortable.
I am not a sociable person but I have tried to develop a habit of smiling and being polite and pleasant with people I encounter in public and I do like the response I normally see (While I tried to always be polite, I used to do the opposite and practiced an expression that would discourage interaction). A smile or a light compliment to a sales clerk or waiter can have a response that is surprising when unexpected and given for no reason. I have tried to make it my routine.
I am not surprised you are making this effort. Again, my compliments and my respects.
The cause of death for actor Ron Ely, who portrayed Tarzan on TV for two seasons from 1966 to 1968, has been revealed.
Ely, who died in September at the age of 86, passed away due to from a heart issue, with the official cause of death being listed as “end-stage heart disease,” according to the actor’s death certificate obtained by TMZ.
Why is the cause of death for an 86 year old man of interest to anyone? “Old age” doesn’t cover it?

I’ve been trying not to use swear words in casual conversation, but I find I cannot. I can go maybe 5 minutes before the first **** sneaks in.
Must. Do. Better.
I think it a worthwhile goal. My respects.

Thank you, Mac. I appreciate it. I am seriously trying.

Raiders lost again -- I read the fan blogs just for a chuckle. This comment is my favorite today:
