Happy News-breaking Monday, Gerbil Nation!
Or is that home-breaking?
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
I want to replace the incandescent bulbs in our patio string lights with LEDs -- because I’ve run out of the original incandescents and I’ve got four or five more that have burned out. Since some of them are very difficult to replace, I thought I’d just replace them all with LEDs and not have to worry about it again. I went to my favorite online light bulb website and found a couple of likely candidates, only to find that they can’t ship them to California. Apparently they aren’t quite efficient enough. We’re talking 1-watt LEDs. They did have some that were CA-compliant, but at three times the cost. The difference would be about $200. So I ordered the cheaper ones and had them shipped to Teh Younger in Florida. He’s now going to ship them to me.
Another likely power outage for public safety tomorrow -- haven’t gotten around to checking out my generator yet -- think I’ll roll the dice on this one.
Mrs. Sven’s first full-body PET scan and some other tests happening tomorrow. A nurse friend of ours pulled some strings and got things scheduled quicker than us going through normal channels. Hoping that maybe by the end of the week we’ll have a better idea as to what is going on. Next week, two more appointments to review tomorrow’s results.
I’m happy not to be working at teh bestest place ever so I can focus on this. I thought I was doing OK, but really lost my temper yesterday for no good reason. If I was still working there and if we were onsite, I think my former boss would be in an ambulance.

Sometimes it’s a God thing. Prayers for both of you. No matter what the results, you will both need each other. That’s wonderful to have a friend who can pull strings when really needed.
Happy Monday, GN.
Thread pic: Not quite sure how, but I’d bet that a cat was involved somehow.
Moi indeed.
Ah, thanks, Mac -- what a cute little coon!

You are both in my thoughts.
Thanks, Mac.

Watching the Raiders “play” the Falcons on MNF -- I’m so old I can remember when this team was the winningest team in all pro sports.
