Good morning, GN. I do not like this time change thing. The idea that “of course 5:00 AM can change to 6:00 AM and vice versa” is as bad as the “of course a man can become a woman” hooey.
Hope the coughing is minimal today, Paddy. And that all is well with Mac and Elena.
I have a tele-health session with a nurse this morning in regards to my annual coughing nightmare. I don’t expect much to come from that, but we’ll see.
The tele-health appointment was interesting. The nurse asked me for my vitals. I was only able to give my temperature. Sorry, I don’t have a blood pressure rig or pulse oximeter. After lots of questions, a physician’s assistant came online and recommended mucinex and gave me a prescription for an albuterol inhaler and some cough medicine. Maybe the albuterol will make some difference. We’ll see.
That looks like a hand held inhaler? When Elena had Covid in Feb of last year, they had her take two liquid meds through an inhaler that used a compressor. You breathed through it until the meds were all used. She had rather bad bronchitis, (why we went to the ER and found she had Covid), and it helped that a lot in just a few days. I hope that helps you.
Hi Mac!
Yes, as you guessed, I was prescribed an inhaler. I’m familiar with the various forms of nebulizers and would actually prefer that method of medication delivery. With the inhaler, you’re supposed to inhale when you depress the metal cannister containing the medication. The timing of the inhalation also needs to be correct. Have you ever tried inhaling through your mouth while your nostrils are open, and your mouth is sealed around a plastic tube? The natural instinct is to inhale through your nose, leaving all the medication in your mouth.
Thread pic: Sad coon makes me sad.

Maybe it was called a nebulizer?
