Good morning, GN. Like Paddy, I’m not overthrilled with summer heat in March. One more day of it and then it’s supposed to return to more seasonal temperatures.
We’re at that point in the semester when we start withdrawing students who can’t handle the freedom that comes with independent study. Students are required to login and do a day’s worth of work each day. It doesn’t matter what hours they choose to work and they can even get ahead, if they choose. Some students just don’t have the discipline to work without supervision.
To fill up some time, I subscribed to the Daily Wire to watch their films. Mostly I wanted to see Am I Racist, which I haven’t yet watched, but I did watch Terror on the Prairie, Ladyballers, and Hide Run Fight. None of them were great -- mostly just average with some good scenes and acting (Nick Searcy in particular) -- but none really worth recommending. I also started to watch Jordan Peterson’s series, The Gospels. Sadly, altho I can understand the brilliance of Peterson, I’m having much trouble listening to him drone on and on and on. My mind wanders.
Hmmmm. Jack Tatum is still home and sleeping. He made a few brief jaunts outside in the middle of the night, but has for now opted for rest. He’s still ignoring me but has allowed me to pet him and scratch his scabby head.

Well, he woke up, didn’t eat or drink, and took off. Hopefully for not several days again.
