I’ll be spending the day helping my oldest friend begin to empty his house of junk as they prepare to move to AZ in a couple of months. Getting lonely out here as most of our friends/family have either died or fled the state.
Still in a holding pattern regarding our future as we wait on medical appointments in June. Regardless of what they show, we don’t think we could handle the process of looking for a new place to live or buying and selling our place, not to mention the actual move. We met with our financial advisors last week and discussed with them our changing circumstances -- the $ numbers indicate we ought to be OK, but I’ll continue to stock up on cat food and ramen.

Sven -- that’s good of you to help out your friend. That’s not an easy task. I understand about your situation. Those can’t be easy conversations to have. Hopefully the fiscal situation in California will improve enough to make a difference in your retirement.
