I’ve been watching the Olympics and I’ve noticed much more use of drones for video coverage. In places were you used to have a cameraman on the back of a snowmobile, or an overhead cable system, they’re now flying drones.
I’m old enough to remember when the Olympics, both summer and winter, occurred in the same year. Also old enough to remember when it was amateur athletes only…well, except for the Russians. It was better viewing then as you saw new faces/new stories every four years and younger-unknown athletes had a chance of getting a shot at a spot.
I’ve only glanced briefly at some of the events -- just not interested.
Happy Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
