Mornin’ Gerbil Nation. It’s been a long week. It feels like a lot of work with very little sleep, but I know that can’t be right. Just back from work, doing a few things around the house, going to bed for a while now. Wish I could stay up for a while, but I don’t think I can.
I haven’t slept well the last two nights; I was up at 3:30 this morning. On the plus side, I watched some episodes of NYPD Blue. Man, they did a good job with that series.
I have always heard it was a good series. I only remember that they popularized the nausea cam. Some shows from that period used a sort of roving closeup instead of shot/reverse shot.
I remember some people (Harper being one of them) got motion sickness from the technique.
Lucky for me, I don’t get motion sickness, but for that reason, we never watched some of the shows from that era together.
Harper has a difficult time playing MMORPGs because of the moving camera for the same reason.
I think the technique was originally showcased in the “Nissan, Built for the Human Race” commercials.
Now, I’m not sure but I think that the show “30 something” also used similar camera work.
Good morning, GN! Yes, it’s that day again.

Good morning, Sven, dv8, and Fatwa!
dv8 -- I agree, it’s been a long week.
I’ll be back later, GN, nite nite.
Indeed. A sad day for women.
Okay…. THAT was a long winter’s nap.
Naps is good.

Now Ima play some more skyrim.
I’m sorry you haven’t slept well, Sven; I know how that is.
I was thinking, and my memory ain’t what it used to be, but it seems to me that teh wheel used to do something on Friday nights.
Poker? No, it wasn’t that.
Jokes? No.
Trivia pursuit?
It had something to do with pictures or some such thing. And words. I distinctly remember words. And prizes…seems like there were prizes.
It will come to me.
Just a great tune.
I’m watching the PBS series on Country music and tonight they featured Waylon Jennings and featured this song, along with the story behind it.
