They were still some Matzoh crackers left, but no gefilte fish.
I am unsurprised; as icky as gefilte fish is, matzoh’s even worse. (Guess that makes me a “race traitor”.)
Wonder how long it’s going to be before someone violating a curfew or keeping their restaurant open is shot by police. Out of “an abundance of caution”, of course.
What a stupid age we live in.
Off to San Francisco to panic-heist bog rolls and Purell during their lockdown; BRB.
And yet, in his press conference, Gov. Newsome admitted that he already has the tools to remove the homeless from the streets. It would appear that allowing the homeless to set up camps in our cities is actually a choice by our elected leaders.
Hi, Mac!
I think the first step would be to force motels to take them in. That happened in my county not too long ago, when the county dismantled a large homeless encampment. A federal judge ordered the county to find places for everyone displaced.
“Again, I find myself feeling sorry for Donald Trump. (I apologize; I know I shouldn’t let that become a habit.) He’s damned as “weak” for his slow, wishy-washy, and off-target response to Covid-19. But the same people would condemn him as a tyrant if he took some of the actions blue-state governors are now enacting (e.g. forbidding all gatherings larger than pick-your-arbitrary-figure from 250 to 1,000).
And of course there is no “good” level of action. Not good for both health and freedom, anyhow. Plenty good for those seeking power and control.”
Back from the eye doctor -- New bandage over it -- just a clear contact lens -- and another plug stuck in a tear duct. Cornea erosion that doesn’t appear to be healing on its own and that keeps ripping open. Back there on Friday and maybe, if I’m really lucky I’ll get to have this done: Anterior stromal micropuncture. ASP may be considered for lesions outside the visual axis because it is a rapid procedure that can be performed in the office. Under a slit lamp, a bent 20- to 25-gauge hypodermic needle is used to make several punctures through the anterior corneal epithelium and Bowman’s layer and into the anterior stroma. These micropunctures elicit a fibrocytic response and rapid basement membrane production, which anchor the corneal epithelium in place.
What’s that old saying? Cross your heart and hope to die, stick a needle in your eye?
But right now it feels OK, so it’s back to WORKING REMOTELY.
Thanks, Paddy -- it actually feels pretty good right about now. have to see how it is in a couple of days. Had to laugh at the doctor as he started his explanation by saying ” Now this sounds a lot worse than it actually is.” I waited until he was done to respond with “You’re right; it sounds pretty f**king awful.”
Working remote all day, the house phone rings off the hook with telemarketers. I’m starting to tell then that I’ve been diagnosed with coronavirus. See how quickly they hang up. I wonder if they will report my location to the authorities?
Grumpy Carp Tuesday…teh yay™!!

It’s interesting that SF can order you to stay in your home, but if you are homeless, they can’t order you off of the sidewalk.
Sad “heh”.

How long before they order home owners to take in their quota of homeless off the streets, for public safety of course.

This made me LOL:
“20th Century” music in a nutshell. What’s funny is this is a pretty credible performance.
Good morning and Happy St. Patrick’s Day, GN!
What fresh hell will govt unleash on us today?
Hi, Sven!
You’ll get stale, gummint surplus, past-its-sell-by-date hell and you’ll like it!
Claire Wolfe back in form:

Hi, Fatwa -- greetings to you and Miss Brenda.
Off to my shower and then a visit to the eye doctor…while I am still allowed to travel.
Happy Saint Paddy’s Day, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- good luck at the eye doctor.
This is already shaping up to be a looooong week.

I’m sorry to hear about your eye, Sven. Prayers that you don’t have to get the needle in the eye treatment.

Bummer. My bet was on Kathy Griffin to come out first with a statement that she had THE VIRUS -- Katie Hill tho was on my short list. https://dailycaller.com/2020/03/16/katie-hill-claim-coronavirus/
