An amusingly-written but quite pointed article about just how far politicians have crossed “the lines that give reasonable men pause” during the General Tsao’s Sicken panic:
Was just reading about the looting in Minneapolis yesterday. I can understand breaking windows at the local Donut Chomper’s Clubhouse. But looting / burning Target, Auto Zone and Wendy’s?
Not helpful.
Also saw the freeway blocking in Los Angeles; given how angry and frustrated so many folks are right now, I don’t think it’ll be long before motorists start running right over those little shits. (Which they ought to have done as soon as this tactic came into use after Ferguson.)
Almost a perfect storm this summer with the Chinese flu, a tanked economy, govt overreach at all levels, and the elections. Toss in the media’s favorite story, America’s prevalent systemic racism, and it should be a real treat.
I expect the lectures to begin today with calls for another “national conversation” and with a CNN townhall, probably called “Racism in America,” later this week.
Somewhat oddly, teh bestest place ever has had its biggest sales month ever. And by a good margin even taking into account that they have opened new stores.
Selfishly, I hope the sales numbers keep them from looking at layoffs at this time.
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Sven -- prayers for continued employment!
I read an article this morning that I found rather amusing: Haight-Ashbury Residents Sue to Block Sanctioned Homeless Camp
Up in arms over a plan members say will bring crime to their community, destroy local businesses and put everyone at risk of contracting COVID-19, a group of neighbors is suing to stop San Francisco officials from opening a sanctioned homeless camp.
So how long before they are demanding the stores be reopened and the affordable housing be rebuilt? I know I am happy to pay taxes and higher prices to clean up their tantrum.
Sadly, it will spread because this is another media-driven storm of a narrative that the same media loves and one that they can blame on Trump. RACIST!
Haven’t heard the name Justine Damond mentioned at all when they talk about police problems in Minneapolis.
Looking at the coverage from the BLM blockage of the 101 yesterday, it seems to me that 1) It’s OK if you are police to drive through a line of masked criminals blocking your route, but not if you are a civilian, and 2) The LAPD is more comfortable confronting old people without masks sitting on a beach than they are rioters.
Happy Awkward Puppeh Thursday, Wheelizens!

It’s gonna be a hell of a summer, isn’t it?

Good morning, Fatwa. Happy Thursday, GN!

G’morning. Sven!
I -- unselfishly -- hope the same thing.
Personally, I’m ready to start a national conversation on both STFU and GFY. 👿
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!

The schadenfreude drips with delicious irony.
Hi, Paddy!
During my years in S.F., I thought residents of The Haight were some of the biggest hypocrites in the whole town…which is really saying something.
Amused to see that hasn’t changed in the 35 years since I departed.
“Schadenfreude Drips” -- good name for a band, although hard to fit on a tee shirt. Probably shorten it to “Schad Drips”.
Worth a gander:
It was good to learn that about which he talking today.
The much he say interesting of exciting…trains!
The Daily Caller has some good reporting from last night; https://dailycaller.com/2020/05/28/minneapolis-riots-level-buildings/
Thanks for that, Sven.
Criminy…I hope this doesn’t spread.
(Pretty sure that it will, ‘tho.)
So how long before they are demanding the stores be reopened and the affordable housing be rebuilt? I know I am happy to pay taxes and higher prices to clean up their tantrum.
And how many of them will turn around and vote for the same Democrats who they are protesting against, because Trump is racist, you know.
Sadly, it will spread because this is another media-driven storm of a narrative that the same media loves and one that they can blame on Trump. RACIST!

That sounds about right, Sven.
Thank the Lord -- Al Sharpton is in Minneapolis -- that will calm everything right down.
