Teh Family is going to try and view comet Neowise this evening. We found a spot Monday evening where we can view it with binoculars and tonight we’re going back with a small telescope, a spotting scope, and a tripod for Teh Older’s camera.
LOL -- I took a couple of benadryl this morning to help deal with a rash that suddenly popped up. I think I would have been more awake with the percocet. Seven hours later and I’m still trying to shake it off.
The revelation that the Missouri couple, the McCloskey’s, that are being charged for threatening protesters a couple of weeks ago used at least one nonfuctioning gun to keep the mob at bay strikes me as the height of stupidity. If this mob was really that threatening, who in their right mind would bring out an unusable weapon?
I can’t decide right now who is dumber: them or the prosecutors for bringing charges.
both. But the couple probably thought it would be effective as a ruse. Which I guess it was. If an AR was pointed at me, I would have no way of knowing if it was loaded or not. If it was dark, I wouldn’t really know if it was an AR-15 or an M-16, honestly. The two look very similar.
Big route finished pretty early this morning, and we went right to sleep afterward around 5 am.
Got up. Used that darkening stuff in my beard. Took a shower. Put some Grecian Formula on my roots (still undertaking that experiment--and roots are definitely getting darker, so I guess it’s working) It might end up being easier than using temp color, after all--once it’s done.
Got a ride with a friend to go pick up my Caddy. Went for a little drive, got McDonald’s.
Came home, Flipped the new kill switch which detaches the key/lever and put it on my caddy key ring so the thing won’t get lost.
Well, the marine layer was too thick, so no comet viewing tonight. Tonight is the closest approach of the comet, but it should still be visible for a couple of more days. We’ll try again tomorrow night.
Happy Weak-Sauce Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!

Good morning, Paddy; hello, GN!
Huh. Quite the quiet wheel today. I learned something today -- don’t take a percocet in the afternoon when you have work to do.
