Spent much of yesterday dealing with the necessity of starting this next job a few days later than planned -- next Thursday instead of next Monday. (Due to an asshole Board member.)
Bah.
Not particularly looking forward to being away from home for five weeks -- and BK -- with all of the insanity gripping our country. (Extra grateful we know a few of our neighbors who seem to be nice enough folks.)
Criminy…so much carp to do between now and Saturday departure; BBL.
Happy Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and Mac!
Orange County, by the grace of our Governor (pbuh), has moved into a less restricted Wuhan Flu tier. The biggest changes are that restaurants can open for inside dining at 25% capacity, gyms can open at 10% capacity, and houses of worship can hold indoor services at 25% capacity (but no singing or chanting). Mrs. Paddy and I were discussing how fortunate we’ve been that our income has not been negatively affected by this government-created disaster, but that so many others haven’t been so lucky. Mrs. Paddy is incredulous that our political leaders can be so callous as to disregard the suffering of millions of citizens.
“Callous?” “Suffering?” How could any compassionate person be against “funemployment” and “staycations?” Weren’t we told these were blessings and we should be so grateful that we should cancel our vacations and send the money to the Democrats so they could spread these boons to others?
Just saying hi. Got the big route done early. Harper went with me. I got to be done earlyish and got up and helped out a bit at church. Cleaning up and stuff.
On a completely unrelated note, it might be a good time to start a new skyrim save : ) My years old one is so messed up at this point that it’s hard to do some things.
Humpy Hap Day, GN!

Hi, Fatwa -- good morning, GN!
Winds finally showed up early this morning, but not bad. We might squeak through this week without any fires.
For a musical change of pace today, I’m going classical while working.
I have always loved this and listen to it often.
I’m enjoying it as background, but sadly I’m not picking up on its nuance and greatness. Perhaps the more I listen…

Congratulations on moving to the Red Tier!

Yeah, I got a few “boons” I’d like to spread!
Drive-by:
Hi, Sven, Mac and Paddy!
Because there are rarely -- if ever -- any consequences for them.
Also because, IMHO, better than 95% of them range from stunning incompetence to human filth.
Both major parties are largely for shit and have an effective lock on the system.
I mostly blame the voters, ‘tho.
I’ve moved on from Bach to Vivaldi -- mandolin and lute concertos.

Hi dv8! Nice to see you, again! Glad you’re able to adjust to your new schedule.
