Really ticked-off I’ve got to spend time today responding to Hell’s Acres HOA’s latest bullshit; I was even writing sarcastic rebuttals in my damned sleep last night, which ain’t exactly restful.
It’s probably a good thing (for them) that I live at the other end of the country. Also glad that CA has pretty good Mechanic’s Lien laws, as we have some options if these shitheads decide to be even more unreasonable.
Perhaps you should go on the offense -- respond back with how no residents at the complex was wearing masks and that they all had MAGA hats, making your workers feel unsafe.
Happy Friday, GN! Out here in CA, the last Friday before we go back into huddling in our safe spaces for a month. Since this curfew ends a few days before Christmas, I wonder if Newsom is considering an extension to eliminate Christmas carols and Midnight Mass.
The left had to put all its resources into getting Americans to believe a myriad of anti-Trump falsehoods, while Trump has managed to muddy the waters over this election mostly on his own. No matter what, this stain on Biden is going to be a lot tougher to remove than Russia, Ukraine, or any other of the media’s “bombshells” over the last four years. Well played.
I thought that was pretty impressive…even compared with what I consider the “granddaddy” of that sort of guitar work: Steve Vai on Zappa’s “Jazz Discharge Party Hats”.
I’d say Steve Vai is my favorite Shredder. I recently discovered vintage Zappa. even though I was a fusion fan as a teenager, I had no idea that Zappa basically invented Jazz Rock Fusion, and that all the prominent fusion dudes in the 70s all played with Zappa back in the day. I don’t know how I missed that, but… well… there you are.
Don’t know I’d agree that FZ invented it, but he was certainly very involved in it early on.
I thought “King Kong: Jean-Luc Ponty Plays The Music of Frank Zappa” was a particularly good album. (And it may have been how Zappa met George Duke; the latter played on Ponty’s first two U.S. recordings as well as “KK”.)
Sorry Gerbils for not writing so much. Wednesday was Temple day for me. Which meant not a lot of sleep. Did temple stuff. Preparatory for our temple marriage.
This is on Saturday. At 3pm. So. another trip to North Phoenix. I’ll get a day to rest after work before that so I won’t be as tired as I was on wednesday.
I know I’m talking casually about it and talking about sleep and stuff. But it really is a big day. Harper has wanted this all her life and thought it would never happen due to my erstwhile atheism.
I’m somewhat shocked to read the pundits that are judging Joe Biden today based on his past political performance and “positions” and conclude there’s nothing to worry about as Biden isn’t an extremist and he got along with everybody in the DC. Do they really believe that the man today bears any resemblance to the guy 20 or even 10 years ago? I don’t. This is a guy at the end of the line, mentally and physically. They ought to consider Harris being POTUS and what that could mean, but I guess that would be unfounded speculation and the media doesn’t do that.
TGIF, GN!

Newsom is one meat hook and an Esso station shy of being a “good governor”.
Sound up…BUT NOT TOO LOUD. 🙂
That… is very well done. and Awesome snippet of quality music.
Hey, dv45 (heh)!

Well done! Thanks for sharing.
Not a Steve Vai fan, but did you guys ever see the movie Crossroads? In this clip, Vai is the devil’s guitarist.
It’s a surprisingly good movie and well worth watching.
I think that was my first exposure to Steve Vai.
Happy Friday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, Sven, and dv8!
Mac -- excellent thread pic!
Fatwa -- I bet Jim is rethinking his decision to finance that particular project. What a pain!

But miracles happen… evidently….
Congratulations to you both! Mazel Tov!

Rather than unfounded speculation, it would be tipping their hand. They don’t want the proles to know that was the plan the entire time.
