Getting ready for Thanks giving. My Job is strange this year. Papers are a day early on wed night instead of thrusday night--which is normal. But because of what’s in the paper, it can’t be delivered until thursday/friday.
I guess I’ll go into work on wednesday night and process and prepare all the routes and mailings. Then I can go do the Big Route on thursday night/ friday morning. I can either do it early, or just go in later and do it and have my evening free. Either way it will be good.
On an unrelated topic:
Since I haven’t streamed for 2 months I, for some reason, thought it would be a good idea to buy one of these: (a GoPro HERO 9)

No response yet to yesterday’s Hell’s Acres nastygram. We’re supposed to be able to pick up our first finance payment on Monday (JimCo’s financing half the job price) and I’ll be curious if they were presumptuous and deducted the repair costs of something we never agreed to pay for from it.
Good morning Dv8 and Fatwa -- happy Wednesday, GN! Thanksgiving Day here tomorrow may be dark as the power company is threatening to turn off our power due to expected high winds. What a stupid state I live in.
Can I ask for prayers for a friend of mine? He was arrested the other day for child molestation. This is a man I have known through my church for over 35 years. He used to lead our youth work trips to Mexico and was one of our youth leaders. I’ve been on at least 20 work trips with him and never seen anything close to inappropriate behavior. In both youth groups and work trips we have co-ed leadership and kids are never alone with adults. I’m praying the allegations are false and that he can get out of jail soon.
(I’m so sorry to hear about this, but our sorrowful stories are stories we share with each other. And, as we quote traditionally on The Midnight Oil… Shared pain is lessened; shared joy is increased….)

well… the printers have informed me that the papers are not coming in a day early on wednesday. So. Thursday/friday will be just normal, I guess.

Well, I hate to brag, but we have precipitation all year round, decent climate, easily-obtained CCWs and soil you can grow food in.
Plus reliable electricity. (Except when morons crash into utility poles or aged transformers blow up.) And somewhat less-shitty traffic.
OTOH, we also have poorly-run elections and idiotic liquor laws. Also not enough Trader Joe’s.

I am sorry to hear this, Paddy. It is so hard to clear oneself from such a charge. Too many innocent lives get ruined for malicious reasons.
