wow. Well, ever since the advent of medicare, medical stuff has gotten so expensive. Is anyone old enough to remember how the cost of an office visit went from $5 to $25 overnight because of clerical requirements? Doctors all had to hire 1 -- 3 more people just to handle all the paperwork.
Also it affects medical equipment. If you see things that look like they would cost $2000 or $10,000 if if they were consumer products, they probably cost $20,000 and $100,000 respectively.
