Pole-Dancing Puppeh Monday greetin’s, Wheelizens!

Mac and dv8 --

Cheers for your comments re shaving. In my yout’ -- when my facial hair was scant and I could really only grow a neck beard -- I used to shave in the shower. However, ever since I’ve been able to “support” one, I’ve generally had some sort of beard-y thing.

After moving to Happy Larryville, I tried going clean-shaven for a while but the reality is that my alt punim looks better with a beard of some sort, so I’ve been sporting a “circle beard” and shaving in the shower’s just not a good option for me (and my enormous vanity).

Thank goodness for ear / nose hair trimmers, too. Bah!

Sven --

Glad you were able to sort-out the fault in your water feature pump and get it cleaned out. (IMO,it really does enhance the lovely patio at the Mountain Redoubt.)

BBL.

Someone pointed out that number 4 looks like Mitch McConnell in Drag, and I can’t unsee it.

Continuing the grooming thread:

Trimmers of all kinds are a goodness. I never thought my eyebrows would get to a Lloyd Bridges level, so I have to be constantly policing them. I can’t believe how quickly they get out of control.

Plus it doesn’t take long for the beard to look all shaggy and mountain man like. I’m already over the length limit there also.

What’s a guy to do?!

You just have to keep on top of these things.

Once again, it brings up going gray; since I’m not streaming, I have no need of visual contrast and it makes the whole grecian formula / other coloring methods affair less than necessary. I never did it out of vanity, but more because of the thought that I’m so pale, that, on camera, I need some contrast.

Still on TOR, but once again got the url to the thread pic via “inspect element” and then pasted it into a regular browser. So I saw the pole dancing pup for myself.

Good morning, Fatwa, and Dv8.

Prayers for Kyle Rittenhouse today as his case and future head to the jury.

Closing arguments -- only watched a bit of the State’s first stab -- I can’t stomach the prosecutor -- what a POS. Defense up now. Not much caring for their start.

He ought to tell a story and then rip apart each charge. Narrative. He comes across too angry and his anger appears to be directed at the jury, not the state.

The defense calmed down, countered every point made by the state, and overall did an OK job. I hope it’s enough.

Money quote from the state: “You lose the right to self-defense when you’re the one that brought the gun.” In their rebuttal to the defense’s closing argument, they now are saying that when attacked, it has to be a fair fight. So if you have a gun and your attacker has a knife, then you should put down your gun and find a knife. Not exactly, but they are trying to argue that since Rosenbaum was unarmed, Kyle had other options to protect himself besides shooting him.

This is scary stuff. If the state actually believes the crap they’ve been peddling in this case, then as a citizen not only are you on your own, but make sure you handicap yourself. If they don’t really believe it and are just spouting nonsense to get a win, it’s as bad if not worse.

These prosecutors are assholes…have I mentioned that before?

I’m still dismayed and pissed off by the way the defense ignores Kyle Rittenhouse. They really treat him like he isn’t even there and that’s not right. So maybe it’s not just the prosecutors that are assholes but attorneys in general.

And now in the jury’s hands. God grant them courage and clarity.

This must be why folks can’t carry in court. I can easily imagine every off duty cop pulling on this Alex Baldwin wannabee. They don’t have the bolt locked back or the weapon flagged for court, either?!? Amateur hour where I didn’t think to see it. It’s all quite unfortunate. Discouraging.
