I’m sadly amused that somewhat washed-up musicians like Neil Young and Joni Mitchell are (allegedly) removing their catalogs from Spotifiy due to Joe Rogan’s presence on that platform.
Where Rogan’s probably generating a lot more income than they are.
In its day, The Open Face Sandwich Club was quite the hipster hangout; lot o’ great music. And they paid the performers fairly well with the 50% savings on bread.
The old jazzbos used to say, “I’d rather have the bread in my pocket than the customers’ stomachs”.
