JimCo update: per discussion with lawbaw yesterday, nastygram will be sent to HH-A HOA over his signature demanding payment of overdue invoice (which has never been contested) and reminding them that our contract states they are also on-the-hook for “reasonable legal fees” required to collect unpaid amounts.
We don’t expect them to actually pay, but it’s the legal equivalent of racking a shotgun.
Oh well…it’s some forward motion; we’ll see how they respond.

Good morning, Fatwa -- you are still fighting the good fight -- good on you and Jim.
Russia and Ukraine is a mess. Despite the wrongness of Putin attacking and the bravery of the Ukrainians and that the outcome is still uncertain, I think it would have been better in the long run if Russia had quickly won. A wounded bear with a nuclear arsenal is more dangerous than a country in Europe falling to Putin.
When the MSM is in lockstep in terms of their reporting, when most every single talking head and pundit is now a military expert, it makes me more mistrustful that the information I’m getting is honest or accurate. And that includes all the images and videos coming off teh intertubes.

Fatwa -- good luck with the nastygram. I hope it causes a few pantaloons to be soiled.
Sven -- excellent points. Everyone in charge seems to have forgotten Sun Tzu’s advice to build a golden bridge for your enemy to retreat over. Meanwhile, both Lindsay Graham and Sean Hannity are calling for the assassination of Putin. Yeah, that’s going to help matters. Oh, and the Russians have bombed the largest nuclear power plant in Europe and it’s on fire. Depending on the quality of the safeguards, this has the potential to be worse than Chernobyl.
In other news, while we’re sanctioning Russia all over the place, we’re also working with them to craft a new Iranian nuclear deal. WTF?
I was on my way to hospice when they called and said Frank passed away an hour earlier. I had prayed earlier this morning that God would show mercy and let him die, so maybe my prayer was answered. Regardless, he is now through suffering here on Earth and with his friends and family that made the journey before him.
I was going to go over there to say good-bye, but instead we’ll take a short drive up to his mountainside house and spend a few minutes there where he lived for more than 50 years.

I am sorry for your loss, my friend. You were a true friend to him until the end and it seems he was aware of it. It must have meant a lot to him when he was conscious.My respects.

I was in the backyard today and looked down the hill to the house that is being flipped and noticed something different about the roof. It had changed color. But I haven’t heard pneumatic staplers for the past couple of days. So I looked closer. They painted the roof. They painted the asphalt/fiberglass shingles! I wonder if the rest of their work is of the same quality?
