Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Boston Terrierists…

Mid-Week Day salutations from drizzly Larryville.

Criminy…the “news” just keeps getting more depressing; sure am glad “the adults are back in charge”.

Personally I miss mean POTUS Tweets, since they came with a pretty significant upside.

Happy “I didn’t do it” Wednesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Mac!

Gas prices keep going up and they say that it will cost the average family $2k- $3k more per year when you factor in increased costs of goods due to transportation costs. I think that’s a little low, especially in California. Gas prices have gone up over $1.70 since last year. A family with two workers, both driving 15k miles per year, in cars that average 25 mpg, will pay an average of $1020 more per car for gas, or $2040 per family. The increased costs of everything else we buy will just make it worse.

Let’s go Brandon!

Good morning, Fatwa, Mac, and Paddy.

Paddy, that’s a national average on the cost of increased gas prices, right? So even if right, us in CA will get it worse? And you’re right that it doesn’t take into account the trickle down effect of price increases for everything else.

Hi Sven.

The $2k -- $3k is a national average for the anticipated costs due to increases in fuel prices. The $1.70 increase in gas prices is for California. I would not be surprised if the costs to Californians is more in the $4k -- $5k range. How many low-income families, or even middle class families can afford that?

Was watching the video from Project Veritas -- that it reveals that NY Times reporters are liars and a-hole is no surprise, but throughout the whole video I was wondering just how good looking the undercover girl is cuz this reporter is all but drooling and pumping up his man creds to impress her.

Veritas always does good work. I’ve been following James ever since he blew the lid off ACORN and went undercover at various DHS offices.

wow. Let another day pass me by.

I got a good night’s sleep on tuesday morning. I was all rested up for the Big Route. But the paper, when it arrived, was a bit late due to a traffic accident in Sedona, Then, as it turned out, it was a very sloppy paper, which makes the Mail very slow going.

It was well after 2 am when I got started on the route.

Harper came with me though, so that was nice. After the first part of the route I took her home, because she was feeling a bit under the weather. And due to the incredible lateness of the hour, I then skipped the Airport and the Canyon and one other dogleg (all of which I dub “milestones”) and saved them for last.

When it was time to go up the canyon, Harper informed me she was feeling much better, so I picked her up again, Bought her another hot chocolate, and we finished the route together.

It was right about at 14 hours when I finished.

That’s a long one.

When I feel like it’s going to be longer than that, I’ll sometimes just do part of the route and do the less important stops on Wednesday shortly after sunset. But thankfully, I didn’t have to do that.
