I’m not absolutely sure I didn’t catch a bit of them over the years, but I do remember deciding not to actively watch them anymore after Vanessa Redgrave gave her infamous Marxist rant wherein she rambled about Zionsim, back in the 1970s. I was pretty much done with them ever since.
Yes…were it not for LambiePieK, we’d be half-buried in Capodimonte porcelain carp. To parody the title of an old Kool and the Gang track: I can’t get enough of that fugly stuff.
Especially flowers and clowns; they’re just so…me.
I’m surprised they even bother airing the Oscars anymore, given how viewership has fallen off of a cliff. (Never liked any of those award shows, as I don’t find collective wank-fests to be “compelling television”. Plus, I’m increasingly out-of-touch with what passes for “pop culture”; I’d rather read or listen to music for entertainment.)
Discovered yesterday that one of my credit reports had a “hard inquiry” by the Small Business Administration in Fort Worth, TX. WTF?!? While it took two hours to reach an actual human at Experian, they did get it removed in a matter of hours. And I’ve locked stuff down with all three credit agencies.
While I will try to follow-up with the SBA, we all know how that’s gonna go. Really didn’t need this shit on top of normal business plus the HH-A HOA. Fffffuuu…
Had some more leaks reported yesterday at a property where we’re currently doing about $35K worth of tile repairs. (We warned them about their roofs back in 2017…)
Happy pupper Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, dv8 (and Harper!), Fatwa, and Sven!
Fatwa -- it sounds like you’re in for more tile repairs. I wonder if anyone makes Capodimonte roof tiles? It probably doesn’t matter -- I’m sure Miss BrendaK would never let you re-roof your home in Capodimonte.
Good luck with the SBA -- I’m glad you caught the inquiry before any damage could be done.
It sounds like my cow-worker is going to be out for at least two more weeks.
Good Morning, everyone.
Regarding the Oscars:

I’m pretty sure I never watched the whole thing even as a child.
Happy Tuesday, you libelous lot!
Hi, dv8 (and Harper!!1!)
I sure wish our grocery store stocked puppers.

=================
It’s good to have goals.
It’s the one thing that’s good about ruining my credit. Identity thieves are limited--very limited--in what they can do if they steal my identity.
I have had a debit card number stolen a couple of times over the years, but I’ve always been reimbursed for that.
But it sucks. the pandemic caused another pandemic of identity crime. Everyone has been affected.
This conversation between Jordan Peterson and Andy Ngo is long but covers a lot of ground; I found it quite interesting:
