Hi Sven -- just got home from the quarterly meeting. They built more time into the schedule and activities to allow people to gather in groups of their own choosing to ask questions of colleagues, share tips and tricks, and brainstorm ideas related to some of the challenges the teachers face. As usual, there was very little that had to do with the Special Education department, but I noticed a few SpEd teachers making efforts to build up relationships with the general education teachers they work with. I used the opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with various people that were seeking assistance, so it was worthwhile in that sense. I also stressed to other members of the admin team that it isn’t too early to start planning things for next year -- that waiting until summer doesn’t give us enough time to study, plan, and implement.
I can tell that times are getting tougher in America when teh bestest place ever says sales are off, margins are lower, and they are cutting back on new store openings by 45%. Not a good sign, but not unexpected given the state of Brandon’s America.
Just goes to show to show you that first impressions can be misleading.
Happy Thursday, GN!
Sure Happy It’s Thursday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
It’s all about perspective, isn’t it?
Today is our quarterly all-hands, in-person meeting day. Let’s see what this one brings.
Driveby in the mid morning:
pop! pop! pop! pop!
Good to see you, Dv8.
Anything new to share, Paddy, from your all hands mtg?Nice that you get to do it face-to-face.
