Fatwa Arbuckle: Misanthropologist

Drive-by:

Sunday greetin’s, GN!

Glad Harper!!1! and dv8 were able to stay overnight before schlepping home.

Thanks for the Danusha Goska link, Sven.

BK’s feeling a little “off” this morning but not overly so. She had a modest appetite yesterday and was able to get some sleep last night. A bit of nausea for a while; manageable with some meds.

We’ll just take stuff as it comes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

When Jim and I reviewed our six arbitrator choices, we were in agreement on our first and last picks and reasonably “on the same page” re the middle ones, which makes us fairly confident about our part in the selection process. Call with lawbaw tomorrow re same.

(My rage level toward certain parties at HH-A HOA has gone significantly up this week. I know part of it is “transference” related to my concerns re Brenda. But from an objective standpoint, they’re malevolent, corrupt rat bastards for what they’ve done over the past 14 months.)

Might BBL.

My hopes re arbitration:

A blessed Sabbath, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa!

Fatwa -- I’m sorry you’re having to go through this all at once, but I’m glad Brenda is holding up. The love you have for each other will help see you through all of this.

Hi, Paddy!

Thanks for your encouraging words. (And besides the love, we’ve also got the large overlap in our, shall we say, odd senses of humor.)

=================

The HH-A HOA saga got weirder: Jim was served at 8:00 this morning with a lawsuit against him personally -- allegedly from State Farm via a local lawfirm -- on behalf of (arguably) the biggest shithead homeowner at that misbegotten HOA.

Glad we have a phone conference already scheduled with Mr. Attorney for tomorrow; I’ve just forwarded him a scan of the papers.

Good day, GN -- hello Paddy, and Fatwa.

Hope that Brenda continues to be just off a little bit as she goes through this -- thanks for keeping us informed.

I think our HVAC contractor ran into someone from that HOA, Fatwa. A major accident occurred in front of him on the freeway. He avoided it, pulled over, and went back to help. One of the vehicles had flipped over and there was a young woman in the backseat whose throat had been cut by some object in the passenger compartment -- she’s upside down, still strapped in, bleeding, and there’s gas leaking from the vehicle. Him and another guy get her out and moved to the shoulder, but she’s bleeding pretty good.

He tries to stop the bleeding with direct hand pressure, but there’s so much blood and his hands keep slipping off that it isn’t working. He takes off his shirt and uses that and keeps pressure on while talking to the girl until the paramedics arrive. Apparently then he passes out cuz the next thing he remembers is being in the back of an ambulance covered in blood.

So anyhow, the girl lives and he gets a call from the girl’s father thanking him profusely and saying how he wants to meet and thank him. In the meantime, he’d gone to see his own doctor who told him they needed to get a blood test from the girl to check for communicable diseases since he’d been covered in her blood. So he asks the father if that could be arranged and the father freaks out yelling at him that his daughter is a good girl and what was he implying and hangs up.

They never did meet up and he went through 6 months of regular testing for HIV, hepatitis, etc.

Gentle Brenda would start feeling better if she would stop eating toads.

The blood of Christian babies will not help her either, although a gift of some might unsettle a certain HOA cretin.
Just because he can get a lawyer to take his case doesn’t mean he has a case it just means he has a lawyer willing to snatch up a fee for a couple hours work.

ZZZzzzzzzz

I pretty much slept through most of Saturday and part of Sunday. I was up here and there to eat and cook. We both got up for a while yesterday and then we both went back to sleep.

I got up in the late afternoon today (Sunday) and decided it was time to go into work and do the “Scene” route that my Boss told me I could skip until I got back on Friday.

I honestly could have skipped it completely and hardly anyone would have noticed, but I went in anyway around 7:00 pm and spent almost exactly 2 hours bundling it up and delivering it. It was kinda relaxing, tbh.

I went to the store on my way home, bought some Ice Cream for Harper, and the ingredients for some chicken stew. It’s almost done now. The last ingredient is the broth I’m making with the bones of the chicken.

Sauteed onions and garlic

A can of mixed vegitables
A small can of mushroom bits
A can of mixed veggies
A can of butter beans
All with the liquid left in.

Meat from a roast chicken
some broth made out of the bones
Cavender’s greek seasoning
Parsley

We’ll see how it comes out.
It “seems” like it’ll be good.

The tennis elbow in my right arm is bugging me. I had it pretty much carefully beaten but I must’ve done something on friday to bring it back, even though I wore a upper arm strap on Friday morning while at work.

I gotta figure out what I’m doing to make that keep happening. I cured it before by wearing the wrist strap and not grabbing bundles with only one hand. I don’t think I did any of that on Friday, but who knows. My boss helped me do the mail to get me outa there faster, so everything was different and confusing, even though it totally worked, time-wise.
