But seriously, as we are a non-classroom based charter school, we don’t participate in the school lunch program.
That doesn’t mean someone hasn’t set up a phony company to steal money from the Dept. of Agriculture (or whatever bureaucracy runs the “free” food for schoolkids programs). 👿

Fatwa -- I’m glad BK is doing “okay”. I’m sorry about the bureaucratic nonsense she’s having to deal with.
That doesn’t mean someone hasn’t set up a phony company to steal money from the Dept. of Agriculture (or whatever bureaucracy runs the “free” food for schoolkids programs).
No doubt. One local district spent $10 million building an additional “central” kitchen using a grant from the school lunch program. With that kind of money floating around, you know that kickbacks and other backroom dealings are going on.
It’s interesting that the word “forgiveness” now means taking money from me to pay off someone else’s debt. It reminds me of something Mrs Sven said about her sister: “She’s so generous that she’ll give someone the shirt off your back.”
