Happy Cat Dragging Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Fatwa, and Sven!
Fatwa -- I’m glad BK is doing better than the last time she had the major infusion. I’m sorry about your continued struggles with California’s legal system.
I need to take a day off this month, so Mrs. Paddy and I thought we’d go to the Huntington Gardens. It turns out they’re closed on Tuesdays, so we’re going to drive down to Balboa Park instead.
Jury duty deferment paperwork collected and notarized; think I’ll wait until tomorrow to hand deliver it (as I want to get my copy stamped or whatever they do at the Expensive Clownty Goonverment Facility; I don’t trust simply mailing-in all of that stuff).
Paddy --
Hope you and Mrs. O’F have a pleasant day.
In re HH-A: We’re not actually dealing with the legal system yet; just the American Arbitration Association. (I think our AAA case manager is beginning to understand what prevaricating assholes these people -- and their shysters -- are. I know they’re supposed to be neutral, but…) 👿
Managed to get stay up until about 2am or so after work last night. Also slept pretty well, so barring anything unforeseen that should make the rest of the week go more smoothly.
According to my FitBit Versa 2, I slept pretty well.
Mrs. Paddy and I had a very enjoyable day. We browsed a local artists’ collective and found a very reasonably priced painting that we like. Did I say reasonably priced? I meant dirt cheap. It’s a landscape in the plein air style. We wandered through some of the gardens and buildings from the 1915 California-Panama Exhibition and the 1935 California Pacific International Exhibition. We then toured the museum of art, where they were having an exhibition of French Impressionists and related styles. Traffic cooperated on both the trip down and back home.
Teh Older is on week 2 of his new job and just received an offer for another job that he had applied for many weeks ago. Once he gets the full offer, including benefits package, he has to weigh the pros and cons of each position. Prayers and good thoughts for discernment would be appreciated.
Good morning, GN.
Took me five views before I noticed there was a cat in today’s thread vid.
Polecat Tuesday sautations, GN!
Apologies; no time to get caught-up on yesterday’s thread.
BK update: Feeling lousy, but slightly better than three weeks ago; asleep right now.
HH-A update: Damn these people -- and their shysters -- to hell.
Also have to jump though a bunch of hoops to get out of jury duty starting 09/12, being that I’m BK’s primary caregiver; BTFSTTG.

Hai, sneaky Sven!

Wonder why the Pricey Public Servant HQ here wasn’t named in honor of Larry Flynt? 🙂

Newish business down the hill -- it’s a good idea.

Good on him -- being in high demand. I’m sure he’ll make the right call.
