Happy Drunken ‘Coon Tuesday, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven, and Mac!
I’m sure the high price of gas in California is mostly due to oil executives making windfall profits -- in California only, neglecting to take the same profits in the rest of the nation. Yeah, sure, that sounds right.
HI, Paddy. I keep hearing from the propagandists that oil companies made “record” profits of “billions and billions of dollars” but I don’t have anything to compare that to -- like how much profit should they make and does it all come from selling gasoline? I wish there was some objective discussion/debate about the subject, but it’s apparently easier to just blame the greedy corporations for our woes.
In a growing economy (isn’t that what Pres. Corn Pop tells us we’re in?), wouldn’t you expect to increase profits every year? Wouldn’t each year bring “record” profits? Even in a stagnant economy, if inflation is above zero, that too would bring “record” profits, although not in constant dollars.
It’s almost as if our betters in the field of journalism are ignorant of basic economics.
Coons know how to live it up.
Good morning, GN.
Nothing to see here -- just move along.
Good morning, Sven. So starting with the same oil at the same price, Democrats manage to make it that much more expensive.
It’s like magic, right?

Now Paddy, rational thoughts like that will get you on the Department of Fatherland Security watch list.
Maybe I should sing louder?
Deutschland, Deutschland über alles,
über alles in der Welt,
With apologies to Fatwa.
Bugger him! He can’t get on the site so we can all badmouth him.
