Crime has become a major issue in many campaigns this year, with the right-leaning candidates saying how out of control it is, and the left saying these are isolated instances, that it’s dangerous misinformation pushed by FOX to make people afraid, and doesn’t reflect reality and actual stats.
Funny how that never extends to whatever shooting they are outraged about on any particular day.

I’ve been enjoying the Left’s reaction to Musk taking over Twitter. The firing of those over-paid executives will be a source of Schadenfreude for some time to come. When everything shakes out, I wonder how many actual users it will turn out that Twitter has and how many were just ‘bots?
I couldn’t care less about Paul Pelosi getting “beaten” in his home this morning and I have to laugh at those saying saying we should pay for security for politicians and their families. The Pelosi’s net worth is close to $200M and I think that just maybe if they thought they needed security they could afford it.
I don’t remember those same people calling for protection for the Republicans the Democrat politicians were telling their people to attack in public.Or the Republicans being assaulted or shot by Democrats, for that matter.
Perhaps old Mr. Pelosi should have had a gun instead of a hammer?
It’s amusing that an everyday crime is now turned into a major cause celebre with major implications for the country and our “democracy”. This shit happens every single day in our country and those in charge couldn’t care less until one of their own is the victim. It’s Jan 6 all over again -- the antifa/blm riots raged for a year and those on the left justified them -- riots were OK and as Pelosi herself said people are going to do what people are going to do. Extra security? What have you done to provide extra security for the citizens? Not a damn thing.

I’ll be curious to see how they “paint” Pelosi’s alleged assailant…and how the story about the assailant “evolves” as the initial spin gets debunked. (Frankly, part of me thinks this is an election stunt, as things are not looking good for the Dems re the election.)

Remember when the Pelosi’s house was vandalized by “activists” upset that Pelosi hadn’t pushed out the $2k COVID checks fast enough? The “activists” were courteous enough to limit the spray paint to the garage door and similar, easily replaceable items. Not a bit of paint got on those nice bricks. All of which causes me to wonder, how did Naked Wedding Guy get into the Pelosi’s home? And who called the police and paramedics? How were they able to arrest someone so quickly?

I stopped engaging even politely with leftists for most of that time, because, naturally I kept getting suspended.
