Happy Friday Bear Cuteness, Gerbil Nation!
Good morning, Sven!
Glad you got some rain, Sven. We only had a slight drizzle and at the moment it doesn’t look like we’ll get any real rain out of this storm system.
Yesterday our VP, who I no longer report to, emailed me to say that one of the tasks I did last year, that she took over this year, she doesn’t have time for, so she’s giving it to our Director of Special Education (who should have the task). Unfortunately, the director hasn’t learned how to do it, and there’s some stuff that needs done by Monday, so could I please help them out and do it? So I spent the day tracking down and correcting validation errors between our special education database and the state student database. In the course of which, I found we have a student in Vallejo. Problem -- we don’t serve Vallejo. I passed it on to our Exec. Director and he’s going to have our admissions person check the rest of our enrollment for students outside the five-county area we serve.

I passed that on to Mrs Sven and she said to tell you that she feels your pain -- that’s an everyday event in her work life.
Please pass on my condolences to Mrs. Sven. All last year was like that, only without as many “please and thank you’s” as I now get. It was a stressful year and I’m glad to have it behind me. That’s got to be tough on Mrs. Sven.
Wow. Sorry Paddy for the extra work. That’s gotta suck.
Printers had a mishap last night, so I was 2.5 hours late in getting started on The Big Route.
I couldn’t hack the 16 hour shift oncoming, so I decided to do the main stops, and leave the rest for sunset tonight.
I’m only one man, I can only do so much without sleep.
Harper wants to come with me on the rest of the route, so maybe that’ll be fun, we’ll see.
She is out getting a hair cut right now (a friend is taking her)
also, my old Sharp TV is finally dying. It’s a regular non smart wide screen from the mid 2000s, I think. we’ve had it forever. It was a gift from Linux Rob, xmas, I think.
I put a Roku stick in it when we moved down here, to make it smart-ish.
I can get a ROKU TV from Amazon for under $150, so maybe I should before the sales end.
Well, not a coon, but close -- thanks, Mac!
Happy Friday, GN!
Steady cold rain here overnight. Perhaps some stress-free jobs for JimCo in the near future?

It’s common at her job -- constant reorgs and new management.

Well… I just did it.
Drive-by:
Hi, Sven, Paddy and dv8!
Sven --
Appreciate the good thoughts; stress-free and HOA work usually don’t go together. Sad!
Paddy --
Bummer about all the extra work; competence and brains have their downside.
dv8 --
Hope Harper’s able to accompany your rounds and that you have some fun.
Brenda update: Nausea issues again today; don’t know why (and neither does her chemo doc). Not too bad, but unpleasant.
HH-A update: Might have mediation on 01/05; fully expect they’ll weasel again.
Thanks, Fatwa, and love and anti-nausea wishes to you and Brenda.
Also: A Pox on the HH-A
yep. Got this one:
